‘Jeonju Cinema Project 2015’ is finished with shooting!

- Crank-up early in March and proceed to post-production

- Having world premiere at the 16th Jeonju International Film Festival

All three films of ‘Jeonju Cinema Project 2015’(JCP 2015) of the 16th Jeonju International Film Festival(Jeonju IFF, Festival director KO Suk-man) have just wrapped up their shooting and proceed to post-production. Starting from Benjamin Naishtat’s El Movimiento of dozen dates of shooting from Feb 1st to 14th, KIM Hee jeong’s Snow Paths of seventeen dates of shooting from Jan 21st to Feb 12th and LEE Hyun-jung’s Samnye Parallax of twenty dates of shooting from Feb 6th to March 1st all successfully finished their shooting.

It is said that actors and staffs of Snow Paths stayed tight together on set, and their strong teamwork is expected to increase the film’s maturity. Samnye Parallax, whose 98% scenes were shot in Jeollabuk-do region including Samnye, Chaesuk river, and Mangyung river, made investments for technical craftsmanship and present ‘Samnye’ in surreal way. El Movimiento finished its twelfth shooting at the sandy desert, Carhue, which is about 500 kilometer away from Buenos Aires, Argentina. The film was shot without any contact with outside, and will be presented in black and white, strong image.

The special aspect of ‘JCP 2015’ is that all three films perfectly conformed to assigned budget and schedules in planning, casting and shooting. This will remain as a meaningful experiment of production system for JCP in the future. The administration department of Jeonju IFF visited Naju, Jeollanam-do (filming site for Snow Paths) and Samnye, Jeollabuk-do (filming site for Samnye Parallax) during the shooting and encouraged directors, actors, and staffs of each film for their last-minute filming.

All three films will proceed to post-production and be finalized by the middle of April. ‘JCP 2015’ will have world premiere at the 16th Jeonju IFF, which will be held from April 30th to May 9th
