The 16th Jeonju International Film Festival opens ticket reservation!
- Online reservation for Opening Ceremony on Tuesday, April 14 / General Screenings on Thursday, April 16
- Offline Box Office for early reservation runs from Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24
Following Opening Ceremony reservation at 2:00pm, Tuesday, April 14, the 16th Jeonju International Film Festival (Jeonju IFF) opens General Reservation from 11:00am, Thursday, April 16.
At Opening Ceremony which will be held at 7:00pm, April 30 in Jeonju Sports Stadium, Ariel KLEIMAN’s Partisan will be screened for the first time. 200 official titles from 47 countries will be presented with more than 420 screening numbers and over 90,000 seats, including large-scale Outdoor Screenings.
Ticket price for Opening Ceremony, ‘Midnight In Cinema’ (midnight screening), and ‘Master Class’ is 12,000 won (KRW) and for General/Outdoor Screenings is 6,000 won. People can make a reservation for up to 4 tickets per movie, at the official website (http://eng.jiff.or.kr). They can also attend ‘Cineaste Class’ and ‘Cinematology Class’ where directors and professionals give lectures after screening, by booking corresponding films.
On-site Box Office for early reservation will run at the basement of ‘ZIP & ZIFF CAFE’ (next to Sam Baek Zip on Cinema Street in Gosa-dong, Jeonju) from 11:00am to 7:00pm, April 20 to 24. General offline reservation will be available at CGV Jeonju Hyoja, Jeonju Lounge, Jeonju Square, CGV Jeonju, Megabox Jeonju (Gaeksa) and Jeonju Digital Independent Cinema from May 1 to 9 during the festival period.
Early reservation for Group ticketing and wheelchair seats will last from April 8 to 22 with discounted price of 5,000 won, only applied to General/Outdoor Screenings. Group ticketing is not available to Opening/Awards Ceremony, ‘Midnight In Cinema’, ‘Master Class’ and ‘Cine Chante Revival.’ Wheelchair seats are available at some theaters in Megabox Jeonju(Gaeksa), CGV Jeonju Hyoja, and Jeonju Digital Independent Cinema. The 16th Jeonju IFF relieves on-time admission policy and increases citizen-friendly programs. In addition to on-time admission/screening priority, they accept two more entrance later, after 5 and 15 minutes each. However, if you enter after the screening starts, designated seats are not guaranteed and you should follow the volunteer’s guide. Also, free tickets for Awards Ceremony and following Outdoor Screening movie, Like a French Movie which will take place in Jeonju Sports Stadium on May 6 will be distributed at Jeonju Lounge and Offline Box Office on the very day, in first-come, first-served basis. This free screening event only for Awards Day is expected to be one of ‘Square festivals’ for citizens and audience. The 16th Jeonju IFF will get underway from Thursday, April 30 to Saturday, May 9, for 10 days.
