The 16th Jeonju International Film Festival unveils various feature events!

- Events held at Jeonju Sports Stadium, Jeonju Lounge, and Cinema Street

- Various feature events including Exhibitions, Buskings, Hands-on workshops, and Broadcastings

The 16th Jeonju International Film Festival (Jeonju IFF) unveils diverse feature events that will be held at ‘Cinema Street’ and Jeonju Sports Stadium(Outdoor Screening Venue in Jeonju Lounge). Feature events revealed on April 15 include exhibitions, buskings, hands-on programs, and broadcastings. Jeonju Sports Stadium for Opening/Awards Ceremony and large-scale outdoor screenings will become a citizen-friendly space where buskings, audience party, hands-on workshops and food festival take place. At Jeonju IFF’s main venue, ‘Cinema Street’ in Gosa-dong, buskings and exhibitions of posters and photographs based on festival programs are scheduled.

‘Buskings’, ‘Enjoy in Jeonju’ for citizens, and ‘Vitamin Zone’ for audience’s convenience and break will run at Jeonju Lounge, outside of Jeonju Sports Stadium. ‘Busking in Jeonju’ taking place at outdoor stage in Jeonju Lounge is composed of non-verbal performances including traditional dance and magic show, and various genre of music performances. Moreover, citizens can also enjoy performances and talk shows at the same time, through public radio broadcastings such as ‘CBS LEE Byeongjin of 3.0’ and ‘MBC LEE Ju-yeon, Movie OST’. After Outdoor Screening ends on Saturday, May 2, brand-new tap percussion team, ‘RIM SHOT’ will present hybrid of tap dance and jazz as audience party from 10:30pm to 12:00am.

Citizens and audiences can participate in ‘Enjoy in Jeonju’ and ‘Vitamin Zone’. There will be hands-on workshops where people can experience drawings and arts, as well as make food, bracelets and travel souvenirs by themselves. On weekend, May 2 and 3, flea markets for small, pretty things such as art, food, stationary, fashion and hand-made products will be held. Useful item at ‘Vitamin Zone’ is Bicycle Station where you can rent a bicycle for free for maximum 2 hours. In addition, there are also many other events where citizens and audiences can actively participate. ‘Busking in Jeonju’ and some programs of ‘Vitamin Zone’ will run at Jeonju Square in Cinema Street as well.

At ‘Cinema Street’ in Gosa-dong, you can enjoy exhibitions of 100 posters of the 16th Jeonju IFF’s official selections made by 100 young, creative graphic designers. This ‘100 Films, 100 Posters’ exhibition is free to attend at ‘Becky’ Art Space in Jeonju Hanok Village, Cafe on 2nd floor of Jeonju Movie Hotel, and many places in ‘Cinema Street’. ‘WANG Bing: Art of Observation’ where gallery display and movie screening take place at the same time in two channels is also noticeable. You can watch WANG Bing’s 3 latest films, Father and Sons, Man with No Name, and Traces as well as his 40 black-and-white photos at Exhibition Room on 1st floor of Jeonju Cinema Complex for free.
