KIM Dong-wan and LIM Sung-min will be hosts of Opening Ceremony for the 16th Jeonju International Film Festival!

- Actor/singer KIM Dong-wan and actor/announcer LIM Sung-min chosen for MC

- Opening Ceremony will be held in Jeonju Sports Stadium on Thursday, April 30

The 16th Jeonju International Film Festival (Festival Director KO Suk-man, Jeonju IFF) has appointed KIM Dong-wan and LIM Sung-min as hosts of Opening Ceremony. While full-scale settings of Jeonju Sports Stadium are in progress, the expectations about Opening Ceremony held there, at 6:00pm, Thursday, April 30 (starting time of Red Carpet Ceremony) become higher as two iconic figures are announced.

KIM Dong-wan and LIM Sung-min have played in numerous movies, expanding their areas from singer and announcer, respectively. KIM Dong-wan starred at Taekwon Boys : Spin Kick and Deranged, while LIM Sung-min playing in Closer to Heaven and Perfect Number.

They both already had relationships with Jeonju IFF before. KIM Dong-wan worked as honorary ambassador for the 6th Jeonju IFF in 2005, and LIM Sung-min was a host of Closing Ceremony for the 4th Jeonju IFF in 2003.

International/domestic movie figures as well as Jeonju citizens and the audiences are expected to heat the ambience of Opening Ceremony for the 16th Jeonju IFF which will be held at Jeonju Sports Stadium with 4,000 seats. Red Carpet Ceremony starts at 6:00pm, followed by Opening Ceremony at 7:00pm. After about an hour, Opening Film Partisan(Ariel KLEIMAN) will be screened. Full list of International/domestic guests and attendees of Opening Ceremony will be unveiled soon. The 16th Jeonju IFF will get underway from Thursday, April 30 to Saturday, May 9, for 10 days.
