The 17th Jeonju International Film Festival Submissions Are Now Open for Industry Screening
- Cosponsoring with Korean Film Council, Entry period is from March 28(Mon) to April 15(Fri)
- Looking for domestic and international distribution for Korean films and films screened at Jeonju IFF
The 17th Jeonju International film festival (Jeonju IFF) which will be held from April 28 to May 7, 2016, begins Industry Screening by operating Private Screening Room with cosponsor Korean Film Council in order to look for international distribution of films screened at Jeonju IFF.
The entry for Industry Screening is open from March 28(Mon) to April 15(Fri), and Jeonju IFF is accepting submissions online at Korean Film Council (www.kobiz.or.kr). Mail-in applications with screeners will be accepted if received before the due date, April 15(Fri) to Korean Film Council. There are no limitations on the genre. but it should be Korean feature or short films that have been produced during the second half of 2015. Films that are going to be completed by mid-April will be acceptable regardless its completion.
Industry Screening aimed to help launch Korean films in international markets and provides the opportunity for distribution in Korea for international films, and it obtained excellent result in 2014. Industry Screening has introduced SHIN Yeon-shick’s The Avian Kind to the 36th International Moscow Film Festival, and promoted NAM Gi-Woong’s MIZO in Japan. This year, Industry Screening focuses on introducing latest Korean features which do not have distributors yet, in order to promote Korean films to overseas and vitalize domestic distribution of Korean films in virtue of prominent programmers from Venice International Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival, The Locarno International Film Festival and San Sebastian Festival visiting Jeonju IFF,.
