LEE Jong-hyeok and YOO Sun will be hosts of Opening Ceremony for the 17th Jeonju International Film Festival

- Opening Ceremony will be held in Outdoor Screening place in Jeonju IFF Lounge on Thursday, April 28

The 17th Jeonju International Film Festival (Jeonju IFF: LEE Choong Jik, Chairman of Executive Committee) has appointed LEE Jong-hyeok and YOO Sun as hosts of Opening Ceremony. The Opening Ceremony will be held at Outdoor Screening place(OCTO parking lot) in Cinema Street, at 7:00pm, Thursday, April 28 (starting time of Red Carpet Ceremony), and the expectation becomes higher as two iconic figures are announced.

LEE Jong-hyeok has played in numerous movies, expanding his area to entertainment shows, musicals and dramas. Recently, he showed an impressive performance in musical Chicago. YOO Sun starred at Moss (2010), Don’t Cry Mommy (2012), The Chosen: Forbidden Cave (2015), and strengthen her position as an actress.

They both already had relationships with Jeonju IFF before. LEE Jong-hyeok visited the 8th Jeonju IFF with A Good Day To Have An Affair (2007), and YOO Sun had participated in Jeonju Cinema Project (Jeonju Digital Project) in 2000 with www.whitelover.com as a main character.

International/domestic movie figures as well as Jeonju citizens and the audiences are expected to heat the ambience of Opening Ceremony for the 17th Jeonju IFF which will be held at Outdoor Screening place in Jeonju IFF Lounge with 3,000 seats. Red Carpet Ceremony starts at 7:00pm, followed by Opening Ceremony at 8:00pm. After about an hour, Opening Film Born to be Blue (Robert BUDREAU) will be screened. Full list of International/domestic guests and attendees of Opening Ceremony will be unveiled soon. The 17th Jeonju IFF will get underway from Thursday, April 28 to Saturday, May 7, for 10 days.
