The 8th Jeonju Project Market(JPM) begins Advance Reservation for Business Meetings

- ‘Feature Film Pitching’ and ‘Documentary Pitching’, Rising Cinema Showcase see sales agents or investors for promotion

The 8th Jeonju Project Market (JPM) begins to accept Advance reservation application for business meetings from April18 to April 27. Through the business meetings, fifteen films from ‘Feature/Documentary Film Pitching’ and ‘Rising Cinema Showcase’ get to have business meetings with production companies, investors and distributors. Last year, twenty-four investors and distributors including Lotte Entertainment and Showbox have participated in about eighty business meetings.

The five films from ‘Feature Film Pitching’ will be KIM Yang-hee’s The Poet’s Love, KIM Youngnam’s A Duck’s Grin, SHIN Aga’s THE Snob, LEE Jeong-gook’s Ingle, the burning city and KO Eunki’s Iron Men. There are many directors with high credibility and films with diverse genres this year; therefore, higher participation rate is expected.

For ‘Documentary Pitching’, the following films are awaiting business meetings: CHO Eunsung’s The birth of espionage, KWON Woojung’s My Daughter’s Tiptoeing, LEE Juho’s The Disco Star, JUNG Hyungmin’’s The way to Mustang and KIM Hee-chul’s The painter’s view. Films include various topics from political issues to documentary about an artist’s life. This wide spectral coverage may give the films an opportunity for distribution and completion through business meetings.

‘Rising Cinema Showcase’ has chosen five films as following: PARK Youngim and KIMJUNG Minwoo’s The Romance of a mediocre actress and a short bald man, KIM Daehyun’s Try to remember, LIM Jungha’s Le Tour, the memories of a forgotten dream, KIM Soojunng’s A Blue Mouthed Face and AN Boyoung’s Dear Grandma. Two films from this section had entered into a contract last year, so it is being watched with keen interest this year.

Advance reservation application is available for film industry associates only, and it will be held from April 18 to April 27 via online. Business meetings will be arranged on May 1 and May 2 right after each pitching event, and each film may have up to 1 hour.

Complex and Yeonghwa Hotel from May 1 to May 4 during the 17th Jeonju
